  • Jan. 6, 7, 2017: Nashville Symphony: Harry Potter 1, Sound track performed with giant HD screen, Concerts 1/6 evening, 1/7 after noon and 1/7/2017 evening. features major solo celesta parts throughout the entire movie.
  • Jan. 12, 13, 14, 15, 2017: Series that includes Block’s the “Planets” performed with giant HD screen with pictures provided by NASA using the Ken Burns effect.
  • Jan. 20, 2017: Music of Video Games presented with giant HD screen and packed house of younger audience.
  • Jan. 24, 25, 26, 2017: several morning Young Peoples concerts, performed for at least 4,000 students from metro. Mornings featured two back to back short concerts for different groups.
  • Feb. 2, 3, 4, 5, 2017: performances and recordings with the Buffalo Philharmonic
  • Feb. 10, 11, 12, 2017: Symphony performance of Pines of Rome by Respighi. Two performances and a Friday morning coffee series. Played Celesta and piano.
  • Feb, 28, March 1, 7, 2017: Piano Solo by Chopin in front of the orchestra. Several morning children’s concerts that feature a Solo piano performance by Chopin in front of the orchestra to demonstrate to the children the piano as a solo and orchestra instrument. Piano Solo, Waltz in e minor by Chopin.
  • March 16, 17, 18, 19, 2017: Symphony performance of Iberia by Debussy and Bolero by Ravel. Both piano or celesta parts.
  • March 24, 25, 2017: Ballet at the Schermerhorn featuring the 13 instrument version of Appalachian Spring, Vivaldi Season’s for harpsichord, and Romeo and Juliet by Prokofiev. Works feature soloistic piano playing and major harpsichord work. Copland Appalachian Spring is mostly a chamber work featuring piano.
  • March 25, 2017: Saturday afternoon Sensory Concert for Children with special needs.
  • March 30, 2017: House concert with world famous violinist, Anne Akiko Meyer and her violin, the most expensive Stradivarius in the World valued at more than $16 million dollars.
  • April 8, 2017: Piped Piper series for children feature Green Eggs and Ham, a very difficult prominent piano part.
  • April 14, 15, 2017: Symphony series including live recording for Naxos of new Flute Concerto. Also, Friday morning Coffee concert
  • April 26,27,28,29, 2017: Series including new work by American composer Michael Ippolito – Nocturne, for orchestra including a piano solo in the Nocturne plus Rachmaninoff 3rd Symphony with Celesta part.

  • July 8: Music of Pokémon for 7,000 people at the Ascend Amphitheatre.
  • Sept. 1: Solo piano and viola/piano concert for Symphony board members and patron supporters in Franklin. Played Solo Chopin works and Bach for viola da gamba
  • Sept. 9John Williams conducted Gala. Performed major works that included his large piano and celesta solos to a sold out gala concert. Top tickets were $750 a piece.
  • Sept. 14, 15, 16: Performed work Conversations with Nijinsky by rock and roller/classical composer Kip Winger with symphony. Niginsky;s daughter was present.
  • Sept. 18: Faculty recital, accompanied Joel Treybig trumpet recital.
  • Sept. 22,23,24: Nashville Ballet and symphony, Sleeping Beauty at TPAC
  • Sept. 29.30: Performance and recording with Buffalo Philharmonic. Immediately asked to go on European tour with them later, but turned the request down.
  • Oct. 14: Violins of Hope with concert Master Jun Iwasaki feature works for violin accompanied by piano. The pieces were played on the violins restored from Concentration Camp prisoners, most died. Not a dry eye in the audience.
  • Oct. 14 evening: Concert at Jewish Community center with Violins of Hope.
  • Oct. 18: Performance of solo piano pieces for major donors and board members at Martha Ingrams home. Invited for dinner afterward.
  • Oct. 20, 21: Day of Music concert at the Schermerhorn. Free concerts for Nashville
  • Oct. 26,27,28: Recording and performances of Opera without Words by Tobias Picker and the NSO

  • January 17: Performed for the MLK concerts, two concerts, organ and piano, sold out houses (Marler Piano/celesta parts)
  • Now in its 23rd year, this concert honors the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Joined by special guests, the orchestra performed a mix of spirituals, popular songs and classical music honoring the triumphs of the civil rights movement. Selections included “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” “We Shall Overcome,” Jessie Montgomery’s moving orchestral Soul Force, and “Glory” from the soundtrack to Selma. 
  • Jan. 19, 20, 26: Music program for Children in Nashville- four short programs for several hundred children (during the year, I performed for more than 20,000 children)
  • Jan. 21,22: The Music of Zelda, many featured piano solos accompanied by orchestra with giant screen closeups of hands presented to the audieunce. Continue to use of of the easlier pieces with my Belmont Class piano Students.

April 21,22,23,24: Nashville Ballet and symphony., Carmina Burana(Marler Piano parts)

  • Performed by almost 300 artists, Carmina Burana returns with one of the most recognizable pieces of music in the world. The Nashville Children’s Choir, the Nashville Symphony Orchestra Chorus, the Nashville Symphony and featured guest vocalists join Nashville Ballet dancers on stage for a production of epic proportions. I was able to provide the opportunity of another Belmont Colleague to perform the second piano part to this work that features three keyboards. The other keyboard, celesta, was offered to Belmont colleague, Bruce Dudley. As principal keyboard of the NSO, it is my responsibiliity to choose the extra keyboard players. This is begining the second year where I was able to expand the substitute musician list to include Belmont musicians.

  • May 10,11: Conductor preview concert featuing 5 young successful conductors from around the Nation. (Marler Piano/celesta parts) This was of major importance to other orchestras Nationwide and had representatives from most major muisc organizations.Five conductors from across the U.S. will lead the GRAMMY® Award-winning Nashville Symphony in a special one-night performance, offered free and open to the public. Presented by the League of American Orchestras, this prestigious showcase spotlights talented conductors poised for music directorships and staff conducting positions at America’s orchestras, bringing them to the attention of search committees, orchestra administrators and artist managers. While in Nashville, each of the participating conductors will receive guidance and mentoring from Music Director Giancarlo Guerrero, himself a Conductor Preview alumnus.

  • June 12: Music of Star Trek afternoon and night concerts. Accompanied of the entire movie soundtrack. The music Soundtrack was removed from the movie and was performed during the movie viewing. Captain Kirk and the crew of the Enterprise return to the Schermerhorn to battle their nemesis Khan in the thrilling sequel. On November 9, 2016 the Tocqueville Society Alpha Chapter celebrated the 35th anniversary of the society’s founding at The Schermerhorn Symphony Center. The celebration honored the founders and awarded Martha Ingram with the Tocqueville Society Alpha Chapter Lifetime Achievement Award.

The name Alexis de Tocqueville Society was chosen by Dr. Frist to celebrate the compassion among Americans that French historian Alexis de Tocqueville observed during his eighteenth century visits to the United States. Today, the Tocqueville Society is the world’s largest individual leadership giving society with 430 chapters comprised of nearly 26,000 members worldwide. Around the world, members have invested over $9.3 billion in the work of United Way since inception. This was presented in TPAC’s Polk auditorium to sold out audiences. 
  • March 4,5:                NSO presented young people’s concerts to more than 2000 metro students
  • March 4:                   NSO concert, Live On Stage concert to selected audience at Schermerhorn Symphony center.  Audience was seated on stage with the performers.
  • March 12-14:       NSO Performed with Thomas Hampson, the world’s leading Baritone singer, works by Richard Danielpour.  The performances were recorded live for the Naxos label.  I also accompanied Mr. Hampson as an extra rehearsal with the singer and conductor before working with the orchestra.
  • March 31:            Solo harpsichord works performed for Maestro Guerrero and symphony administration to evaluate the purchase of a new double manual harpsichord for the Nashville Symphony
